What’s new?
After two low-snow winters, many of us are hoping this winter gives us better conditions for Nordic skiing. It’s currently snowing as I write this, so my fingers are crossed. These paintings were completed in December of 2025. I used some photos from the winter of 2021 as references; each one taken while out skiing.

The painting above is currently on display at Tettegouche State Park as part of a group show with Voyageur Artists from Two Harbors, MN.
This painting, entitled “accountability,” commemorates a nighttime video shoot at Chester Bowl for a song entitled “Do you think you protect me?” by Duluth-based musician Emily Haavik. I was one of the dancers. This painting was created from a reference photo I took during a break in the rehearsal for the choreography. Prints are available. Music video below:
